* Who am I: Amber Force
Grade Level/Discipline:7th grade Civics
Few Facts about myself: Fact 1: I was married on the beach in Riviera Maya, Mexico seven years ago Fact 2: I have 2 wonderful daughters. Zoey is 4 years old, and Carly is 16 months. Fact 3: In college, I traveled to Germany, Switzerland, and Austria to play soccer for a couple of weeks. Fact 4: Other hobbies include video editing, digital scrapbooking, sandpit volleyball, running, and hiking.
What I'd like to learn or get out of this course: How can I keep my students engaged in the classroom using the little technologies available to me? Can I find a better way to make what I teach appropriate for the Net-generation? How can I get the students to enjoy my class and actually learn something? How can I get my students to walk up to me 3 years from now and say, “Mrs. Force, I still remember everything you taught me!”?
My favorite game(s): Xbox 360 Kinect games. I specifically like Dance Central (even though I am not very good at it).
